Sophia Children's Hospital
Pursuant to Chemitec’s policy of social involvement we support the Sophia Children's Hospital in Rotterdam. The funds we donate to the Hospital are allocated to research into new methods of treatment. A team of physicians, researchers and volunteers makes every effort to give the patients the best possible treatment; however, additional funds are required for the optimum guidance of parents, research into new methods of treatment, and play facilities for the children.
In contrast to adults, children are in a phase of rapid development, suffer from different diseases, and exhibit a different response to medicines and treatments. All these differences give cause to the need to adopt a specific medical approach, whereby the attention and guidance given to each patient must be tailored to the children's age. The Sophia Children's Hospital is continually engaged on research in to causes of diseases and new methods of treatment. Children who are admitted to hospital are taken out of their familiar surroundings, and an agreeable ambience will help them to relax. For this reason the Hospital makes every possible effort to offer the patients a child-friendly and comfortable stay.
Chemitec has developed solutions for an international food company which include the answer for the cleaning of their reactors. The solution has halved the amount of cleaning agent that is required, and the efficiency has been increased by eighty percent, since the 2.5 hours previously required to clean the open reactors has been reduced to just twenty minutes. This is an example par excellence of the results that can be achieved by consulting with the staff who work with the cleaning product and by making use of the appropriate agents.
